well well. finally i get to sit down quietly and update this blog! i am in sydney right now, feeling a little tired after the whole day of walking around campus and attending talks. first day in sydney was quite a bad one. almost everything went wrong! the flight was delayed, i hardly catch any sleep throughout the flight, arrived in sydney late as well. then whats worse when we exit from the customs and couldnt locate dad's friend, oh yah and mom's hp was not working as well! oh man.. by then i was already in a bad mood.. feeling upset enough with all the farewell and have to handle such unlucky incidents... arriving at my place was another shock. it didnt turn out to be what the landlord described to us in the email (feel alittle cheated actually). the room is pretty spacious. but it was old and dusty. landlord was nice enough to arrange a queen bed for me. but here's another problem. i prepared bedsheets for single bed! uh huh.. i was really super sian diao by then. spent the whole day cleaning up the room... shopping for necessities like tolietries, cutleries, bedsheets linens and laundry needs...
well. my room is pretty decent now. with some photos on my desk and stuffs unpacked. feels alittle more personal. haha. but i still need to get some cloth and make a curtain. DIY! haha. save money :)) and need to get a mirror. there's no mirror in the toilet. so i need one my room or else i will look super chiu when i go school! haha. probably have to get some containers/tupperwares and stationary boxes for organising my working area and my stockup food.
i shall go for a morning run tmr before going to chinatown to take a look and shop around. i desperately need to exercise! ohh. found the swimming pool in campus today. but im really sad to know that admission isnt free! $32 for 10 visits. ahhhhhh. and i dont see any other public pools around :((
generally people here walk alot. and when i say alot, it really means ALOT! cos i love to walk but sometimes i still find it tiring to walk this much here. hahaha well.. its pretty alright if you dont have to carry heavy groceries and stuff with you. love the sun and the cool breeze! it definitely feels great! oh yah. and my place is near the beach :)) woohoo. can go suntan as and when i like. school is near the coogee beach as well. hahaha beaches everywhere!
i will try to upload some photos as soon as possible. probably after touring the city area and chinatown this weekend. mom is going to leave in a few days time. guess its time i get used to moving around on my own and doing my own grocery shopping. hmm i am quite confident of surviving here alone actually :)) but will probably take short cuts here and there. haha
